I created three moodboards in order to give me inspiration when producing my short film. They consist of mise en scene, angles and color palette. I decided to create these mood boards using the canva website. As I had already used this website to create the presentation for my initial idea pitch, it saved me time as I already knew how it worked. By producing these three moodboards I will be able to visualize the specific details relating to my film.
Mise en scene
Mise en scene is one of the key aspects to consider when thinking of producing a film, therefore I wanted to produce a moodboard to have clear the setting and surrounding of the events. All of these photographs will inspire me in terms of location, costume and props.
Angles
This moodboard contains all the camera angles I am intended to include in my film opening. For instance, I am planning to use a variety of different camera angles to create a more entertaining and diverse film. I will use a canted angle to help portray unease, disorientation and desperate action.
Color palette
The moodboard below consists of a number of images related to the color palette I will use for my film opening. All of them have connotations of the horror genre. I included a wide variety of colors as I am still not sure which one to use. The second part of my film opening, which takes place in the forest, will include the blue and green colors. The red colors will be representative of the blood the protagonist has on her hands.
