LOGLINE An innocent girl is being affected by her identity disorder. In a desolate forest at night, she finds her second personality has killed someone, but who, how, and when? She must learn to control herself, as her second personality is a remorseless murderer.
MAIN CHARACTER
My main character suffers the mental health condition of dissociative identity disorder. Each of her personalities have their own self-identity. Lucy is a typical teenager with a normal life. The second personality, Thana, is a serial killer with IED (intermittent explosive disorder). They have different names, ages, memories, feelings, actions, and sense of identity. Lucy Brown is the personality that the audience will get to now. When Lucy was younger she experienced an important trauma. She was sexually abused by a relative. Her other identity, Thana, has been developed in her mind in order to escape from the pain.
When Lucy stopped being sexually abused at her house, Thana continued to develop the trauma. She constantly lives that experience and continues to be abused. For this reason, she has turned into a killer. It allows her to escape from reality
The story of her life is seen through Lucy's eyes. We are able to see how she suffers due to her illness and the damage it causes to her having a second identity that enjoys murdering people
PLOT SUMMARY
The film opening is told through the eyes of Lucy. It takes place in an isolated house in the outskirts of Madrid and in a desolate forest in Navacerrada. We are introduced to Lucy while she comes from school and starts preparing dinner. She receives a text message from her mum asking if she took the pill that controls her illness. Lucy decides not to take it as it has secondary effects such as insomnia and weight gain. It affects her because she is a normal teenager who is worried about her physical appearance. Not taking the pill has consequences; she cannot control her changes of identity. Lucy will go to bed, but what she does not know is that her second personality will take over her during the night.
In a desolate forest at night, she finds herself with different clothes, covered in blood and with a knife in her hand. There is only one explanation for this drastic change, overnight her second personality has appeared. Thana has murdered someone in order to escape from the trauma she has developed. As Lucy has no memory or knowledge of her actions, she runs away from the crime scene, leaving the incriminatory knife on the floor. The film will end in a cliffhanger not letting the audience know what Thana has done overnight. We are not presented to this secondary identity.
