BEHIND THE SCENES
During the shooting of my music video I decided to take some behind the scenes videos . Here you can appreciate the technical complications some of the shots had and their lighting and colour prior to editing. I did not take a lot of these videos because I focused on getting the shots right rather than filming behind the scenes. While filming in my first location I had a lot of complications relating to the light. Both of the days I selected to shoot the first half of my music video did not turn out having an appropriate sunny weather, affecting negatively to the light available. This meant I had to use a spotlight to illuminate the whole space. The shooting lasted longer than I had expected, but as a whole I am happy with the end result. Having my ideas clear in terms of the storyboard helped to speed up the process.
By filming behind the scenes footage, I am able to give viewers a glimpse into the filmmaking process. Most of the behind the scenes videos I have of my second location, the countryside, are of the drone. Drones are relatively new therefore I wanted to showcase the capabilities and technical features of the one I used. Here there are more behind the scenes videos of the drone than there are in the actual music video. This is because I took a great number of scenes in order to make sure I did not have to retake any. Through these videos you can appreciate that I did not use any artificial light as I filmed everything throughout the day and up to the sunset time at 7:00pm. The day we filmed all of this second section it was windy and freezing. As I did not appear in the music video I was able to wear a coat and put on many layers of clothes, however I had planned for the main character to wear a white summer dress. These videos show how the experience of filming was and the difficult situations we had to overcome.
