THE EDITING PROCESS
Once I had my photoshoot done, I started using photoshop to edit the photos I was going to use in my Digipak. This allowed me to change the tones adding more saturation to the background and reinforce the light of the sections I was keen on highlighting and drawing the viewers attention. Through photoshop, I was also able to remove the small imperfections of the face. This left the photographs in a perfect state to start placing them together in order to form my Digipak.

In this specific photograph I had to rotate it and change the perspective as the original one was not straight. I also decided to crop it as the side did not contribute to the composition. In terms of lighting, I did not change anything. This is because in the shooting day I used a flash, allowing me to obtain the perfect level of lights and shadows.

In this photograph I wanted to create an element I am keen on including in my music video, the double exposure effect. I created this by combining two copies of the same photo and layering one on top of another. This allowed me to produce a single image with an artistic look ,which could be describes as having a ghost effect. My main aim with the editing of these photographs was to make them look natural, however making them look special.

In order to develop the final layout of my Digipak I also used photoshop as it has a wide variety of tools available which other apps don't offer. As I had previously done a mockup of the Digipak, I already had the skills required to do it at a higher level. It started off as an easy process, as I had found a good layout of the template online. However, once I added the photographs the process got complicated as they lost al lot of quality. I quickly resolved this by looking for another template which had similar proportions. I had to cut all of the photographs because each section is not completely square, the template had a different format to my original photographs. I hesitated between including the name of the artist bigger than the name of the album, but chose to do it as most of the digipaks I had previously researched and analysed did this. The back cover was the panel that took me most time. This is due to the numerous details I decided to include such as the instagram logos, the barcode, the copyright text and my company logo in combination with the logo of universal. In terms of the colour scheme, I wanted to keep a consistent theme throughout as all of the panels are going together. I feel that I have made progress with my editing skills, which will be usefull in the future when editing my social media platform besides my music video.
